Personal Message
Dear Parent, School Professionals and local authorities,
Childhood happens only once, so it is our duty as adults to make every school experience as happy and nurturing as possible because we know that adulthood is not easy. I am Rebecca Nyamah, the principal consultant at SEND Rapid Response and I use my extensive experience in education, alongside training in law and child and adolescent psychoanalytical psychotherapy.
Most SEN consultants are one thing. A former SENCO. A former lawyer. A former organisational or educational psychologist. I am all three. My drafting comes from the Bar. My understanding of children comes from the Tavistock. My inclusion strategy comes from running SEN provision at Ofsted Outstanding level today, not a decade ago.
This combination produces EHCP applications that local authorities approve at top banding. In one academic year I secured £155,000 of SEN funding for a single primary school. The applications are evidence-led, legally aligned to the SEND Code of Practice 2015, and quantified to the standard a tribunal would accept.
